Our hourly rates are based just slightly under the national industry scale; released by the American Institute of Graphic Arts and Aquent. Project rates based on the value of results provided versus time.

 Web Design Rates (2008)

Our sites are custom designed for each Client. Even though we approach every project in the same way, sites range in functionality, scope, purpose, subject, complexity and, yes, cost. However, the cost of our websites (from design to implementation) usually range from $3,500 to $13,500. However, depending on sophistication and size, a site can cost upwards of $25,000.

The following prices and brief description of services are offered as reference for how to arrive at costs, contact us for a firm quote:

Samples ($189.89 - $489.89)
Two or more samples (also called visual comps and graphical mockups) are provided to serious prospects only. Samples help initiate design with a clear "go, no-go" decision and help to further discussions, and ensure design meets client expectations. Note: (1) Samples of content pages are available only upon selecting a home page design and (2) sample fees can be used to offset Design Phase costs.

Design ($789.89 - $4,899.89)
Design includes site structure, page layout, and graphical design (Look & Feel). My custom designs are based on the client’s industry vertical, client branding requirements and feature web standards for usability and functionality.

  • Design Sample Revisions (Home Page and 2 Content Pages)
  • Competitive Research/Analysis (Review of Competing Websites)
  • Positioning/Messaging (Strategy to Address Target Market)
  • Custom Design (Graphical Design, Site Map and Content Layout)

Development ($389.89 - $2,899.89)
Development work essentially puts a design in to practice and may include HTML coding, limited Macromedia Flash, custom graphical assets (tabs, buttons, charts, illustrations, etc.), copywriting, and CCS templates to ease future site revisions.

  • Form Page (1-2 Form Pages – For Contacting/Info Request)
  • Cascading Style Sheets (Standardized Font Size and Type)
  • Copywriting (Content Development based on a Competitive Analysis)
  • Functionality Testing (Ensure the Proper Functioning of Site Components)

Implementation ($189.89- $3,899.89)
Implementation procedures vary from client to client. However, it is recommended to stage a site before “going live”. This work includes the Uploading (FTP) and testing of files on a web server and submission to Search Engines.

  • Staged Launch (Initial launch under a Unique URL for review and approval)
  • Search Engine Optimization (Submission to Yahoo and DMOZ Open Directory Project)
  • Web Mastering and Maintenance (First 30 Days Post Launch)
  • Implementation/Launch (Uploading of Content, Testing of Site Functionality)

Web Mastering and Maintenance Retainer ($48.89 - $289.89 MRC)
Web Mastering covers routine updates to textual content but may also include graphical changes depending on client requirements. This service is also available on a “as needed”, hourly-basis.

  • Routine Updates (News Content, Special Announcements, Press Releases)
  • Content Revisions (Minor Textual Changes and Revisions)
  • Graphical Design (Routine Updates Requiring Less Than 2 Hours Development)
  • Search Engine Optimization (Periodic Checkups and Code Tuning to Maximize Ranking)
